Support Skateparks in Pima County!
Pima County Parks has recently requested funding for a skateboard park program that would include a regional skatepark at Curtis Park, located at La Cholla Blvd near River Road. For this to become a reality the Pima County Board of Supervisors must hear from every person in Pima County that supports skateboarding, this includes you, your mom, dad, grandparents, and crazy uncle too!
Follow these steps to a new park...
- Send an email to: bondinfo@pima.gov
- Put "2008 Bond Program: Skateboard Park" in the subject line.
- Write a positive letter addressing your support for Pima County Parks requesting
a skateboard park for our community. Save time and borrow the message from below. Make sure to include your name and address in the message.
- Send this page to a friend or family member

Coming Soon: Arivaca Skate Park
(From The District 3 Digest Newsletter)
Looking for a place to skate in Southern Arizona? Look no further than the Arivaca Skate Park!
Dreamed up by some enterprising residents of Arivaca, community members built the entire first phase of the Skate Park by hand. In fact, that first phase was funded completely through t-shirt sales.
Once Pima County got wind of the project, they were able to secure
a $70,000 Community Development Block Grant for the park. This allowed construction to begin on phase two of the skate park, which hadn't been bugeted to start for several years.
Supervisor Bronson commends the residents of Arivaca on their big dreams as well as their commitment to making the community an even better place to live.
